Tell me about my delivery

Free delivery is applicable within a 15mile radius and provided the product is in excess of £100.  Once your order has been placed and provided the item is in stock, your delivery will be with you within your agreed delivery date range. Please contact our sales team should you be outside this delivery radius for a delivery quotation.

To help us to protect you, we may ask for photographic proof of identity such as a photo driving licence or passport, together with a utility bill and the credit card used to make the purchase. Should you not have these available, you may be refused your delivery and have to rearrange, which may incur a separate charge.

If you have bought your product without any services, such as installation and disposal of your old appliance and you wish for us to leave it in a designated room of choice, please let our delivery personnel know before the product is unloaded from the van. We are more than happy to deliver the product to your room of choice where access is possible. The delivery operative will also ask to take the product over the threshold of the premises and will not leave the delivery outside or in a garage unless specifically requested to do so in writing prior to the delivery. If requested these will be left at your own risk.

Please note install and disposal is only available on products delivered by us, and not if your product has been delivered by a courier, or another retailer.  Should this be the situation, arrangements would need to have been made with the shop prior to our coming out and the necessary charge agreed.

Do I need to be in for my delivery?

This depends on the type of order delivery service you have requested. You may not always need to be there in person, but we can only allow the goods to be signed for by an adult, at the delivery address with all the appropriate identification. If nobody is in at the time of the agreed delivery, a note will be left reflecting this and contact would need to be made to re-arrange the delivery. An additional delivery charge may be made.

If you have opted for installation at the time of delivery, we are happy to connect the product to convenient services and will remove all the packaging and ensure that it is disposed of in an ethical manner (see full Terms of supply). We will inspect the services and advise of any potential issues before starting the install. Please note: All existing appliances must be disconnected (uninstalled) and water free (where applicable), pre delivery of the new appliance, unless a removal service has been opted for. Failure to do so may result in the installation not taking place or a charge made for the disconnection service. On all installations, we will remove all the packaging and ensure that it is disposed of in an ethical manner. 

Delivery

As a consumer you have the option to select a delivery date which is subject to availability at the time of purchase. Delivery options, associated delivery charges and estimated delivery times are advised by us at our point of sale or where products are home delivered by courier, this will be advised via text. Free standard delivery applies to the geographic area we service only when deliveries are made by ourselves, and not when delivered by a courier / third party. All standard deliveries are based on estimated delivery dates. Standard means, no more than 2 steps up to the front door with no instructions leading to the point of where the product needs to be delivered.
For on-line purchases, once you have been issued with a Sale Confirmation you will be contacted to confirm the estimated delivery date requested.

All Product(s) must be signed for, by an adult (18 years and over) and you should keep all delivery documentation and receipts provided for future reference. A digital signature will be required and the delivery operative will take a photo of the delivered product.

Upon delivery you may be asked to provide photo identification such as a passport or photo drivers licence, together with a utility bill or the credit card used to make the purchase.

You should closely inspect the Product upon delivery for any cosmetic defect before signing the delivery receipt. Damaged Product(s) should not be accepted unless a damage allowance is agreed.

You are advised to read the instruction booklets supplied by the manufacturers before operating a new appliance. Often problems that may initially seem like a fault can be rectified quickly and easily by referring to this documentation.

Whilst we take pride and care when carrying out deliveries,  we will be liable for any accidental damage that is not notified within a reasonable period.
 

Terms of Delivery

During checkout, we suggest a 'preferred delivery date' based on the schedule of our deliveries. We pre-select the next best available date for you, which you can adjust to suit your schedule. 

A preferred date is not a guarantee, and the actual date of delivery will be confirmed by telephone or e-mail.

Some appliances such as American Style Fridge Freezers may require a site assessment prior to delivery. Should the item not fit your doorway, it may be necessary to remove doors from the appliance. If this still does not allow for access, we will assess and give you the best suggested solution. Please note that it is the customer’s responsibility to either measure or allow access for measuring to avoid this. Once unpacked, an appliance cannot be returned without a restocking fee, which may be up to 50% of the original retail RRP.

Click & Collect

We like to offer choice and convenience, so to ensure you can get your order at a time that suits you, we also offer a Click & Collect service at no extra charge. Order your product/s as you would for home delivery, and when it arrives in store, we'll contact you to let you know it's ready for collection.

All Click & Collect orders must be signed for, by an adult (18 years and over) and you should bring all delivery documentation and receipts provided as proof.

Upon collection you may also be asked to provide photographic identification such as a passport or photo drivers licence, or the credit card used to make the purchase. 

We reserve the right to not release the goods to you if reasonable proof of order / identity, cannot be provided.  With card payments, proof of ownership of the card used for the purchase must be established prior the goods being released.

Product Returns

Whilst we want you to be happy with your new purchase, we understand sometimes you may change your mind. If you need to return your order within the 14 working days cooling-off period, you will be responsible for the cost of returning the product(s) in their original condition* to Baileys Domestic Appliances Plumbing & Heating.

Upon receipt of the product, we will refund the price of the Product(s) in full, including any initial delivery charges, less the cost (incurred collecting the product(s), and replacing any missing items (or accessories. We will process the refund due to you as soon as possible and, in any case; within fourteen days of the day we take receipt of the Product(s).

*Original condition refers to unboxed and unused.

Where the item is a small domestic item (such as a kettle or toaster) you may open the box in order to inspect the item, however the box must be sealed, and content placed back as they were.

Where the item is a large appliance (such as a washing machine or refrigerator), there is packaging that was removed, cannot be replaced and therefore removal of this constitutes acceptance of the product. Installation of an item would also constitute acceptance.

In both cases, should you return an item that we deem as unsaleable at its original value we do reserve the right to withhold up to 50% of the original item value.

If you are returning Product(s) that are faulty, you will not be responsible for any collection costs. You will however need to contact us and we will initially look at resolving the issue. If this is not an issue that we can resolve, and the product is less than 28 days old, then the product can be returned, at our cost, and you will receive a full refund. However, if any accessories are missing, the cost of these will be deducted from your refund.


Defective product

We do understand that occasionally you may experience a problem or have a defective product. We and we are here to help!. To do this you simply contact us and will be happy to come and sort out any issues you have with your product.  If the product is under 28 days old, we can arrange to have it exchanged or the product returned and a full refund, including delivery charges, issued. Unfortunately, if any accessories such as leads, remote controls, hoses or shelves etc are missing, you will be charged the cost of their replacement (see full Terms of Supply for cost).


Changed your mind?

If the product is not what you wanted or you've simply changed your mind during the first 14 days, we'll exchange or refund any unopened item. For a small charge, you can arrange for us to collect the product from you if it was delivered to you by us. If the order was home delivered by courier, or if you wish to return products yourself, you should either:

Contact us, we will provide you with a returns tracking document for you to complete and send back with the Product(s), along with a copy of your proof of purchase. Any Product(s) supplied must then be returned at your own expense, within 7 days of your notice to us.

Delivery and Returns

Baileys Domestic Appliances, Plumbing and Heating deliver to selected UK locations within a 15 mile radius of SP2 7RB, Salisbury. Where a customer resides outside of this postcode radius we recommend contacting the store on 01722 323457 or info@rlbaileyltd.co.uk to discuss the delivery options. Prices for all goods do not include delivery unless otherwise stated. All prices quoted include UK VAT at 20% where applicable. We reserve the right to refuse orders. Any return carriage charges will be at the customers cost in the first instance. On inspection, should a product be found to be faulty, then the return carriage costs will be reimbursed. We will gladly exchange products for "non-fault" reasons, but you will be liable for all subsequent carriage charges. All payments must be in UK Sterling.

Delivery Timescales

Baileys Domestic Appliances, Plumbing and Heating will deliver all purchased goods within a window of 7 days. Baileys Domestic Appliances, Plumbing and Heating will contact all customers immediately after a sale has been made to confirm the delivery details.
